Twitter stock surges on strong Q2 results

This morning I was worry about TWTR Q2 report at the end of today Tuesday. I thought about selling some of them, in manner fact I sold a small portion TWTR to buy Corning Inc. (GLW) its quarter Q2 miss, it was down this morning, I lost about 10% $20.00 Down 2.05(9.30%). It is normal procedure to buy when the stock you knew went down a lot it is the case of Corning. Then I read this article http://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/14/07/4734997/will-twitters-q2-fall-victim-to-law-of-large-numbers
I calmed down and continue to check the performance of TWTR which I could sell before 4:00 PM but the whole day it goes a bit just a few cents and ending up with 60 cents.
This is his statement:
Still, Wunderlich's Harper expects the company to post higher-than expected top-line growth, with advertising revenue up 110 percent.
and now after 4:00 PM TWTR's CEO reports that Q2 rose to 124% it is very closed to Harper's prediction. How he knows it??? or just pure luck or he did his research as I do, when I read the article and I strongly believe what he said. Because every important news come from Twitter it is more important then Facebook (FB) in my opinion because we need it.

Sodastream (SODA) that returned some 3,000 percent in just two hours.

The news created an instant windfall for the trader, as these options, which were bought for $7,500, became worth as much as $250,000.
Option trade: $7500/15 = 500*100 control shares = 500000 * 6 = 300,000 USD (from 30 to 36)
Option trade
An option is a contract that gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specific price on or before a certain date. An option, just like a stock or bond, is a security. It is also a binding contract with strictly defined terms and properties.
Still confused? The idea behind an option is present in many everyday situations. Say, for example, that you discover a house that you'd love to purchase. Unfortunately, you won't have the cash to buy it for another three months. You talk to the owner and negotiate a deal that gives you an option to buy the house in three months for a price of $200,000. The owner agrees, but for this option, you pay a price of $3,000.

Now, consider two theoretical situations that might arise:

  1. It's discovered that the house is actually the true birthplace of Elvis! As a result, the market value of the house skyrockets to $1 million. Because the owner sold you the option, he is obligated to sell you the house for $200,000. In the end, you stand to make a profit of $797,000 ($1 million - $200,000 - $3,000).
  2. While touring the house, you discover not only that the walls are chock-full of asbestos, but also that the ghost of Henry VII haunts the master bedroom; furthermore, a family of super-intelligent rats have built a fortress in the basement. Though you originally thought you had found the house of your dreams, you now consider it worthless. On the upside, because you bought an option, you are under no obligation to go through with the sale. Of course, you still lose the $3,000 price of the option.
To my opinion it is risky but it is worthy.

Investment is based on the research not by rating by someone or website's opinion

When buy or sell should base on the research and confident. The rate of stock of many websites are often not reflection correctly in time. For example they may rate as Bullish you buy the stock and it goes down when you look back the rate that they gave it has been updated to Neutral because the info. was so late and you already knew about it. Don't buy stock by rating from the website. I get the wrong info even with my broker website, I bought the stock GCAP at the time I bought it was rate 9.0 very bullish and a month later it drops over 20% and I opened to look the rate it was dropped to Neutral so basically what they knew is almost exactly what you have know. The information they provided was too late. At that time I should buy MSFT based on my opinion but it was swayed because my broker's website. I want to write here to remind me next time don't make the same mistake.

Warren Buffett Won't Abandon Bank of America

Two years ago, Warren Buffett called Bank of America (NYSE: BAC ) CEO Brian Moynihan to suggest a deal. In exchange for a $5 billion investment, which would serve as a vote of confidence in the nation's second largest lender, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A ) (NYSE: BRK-B ) received preferred stock that paid a 6% annual dividend and warrants for 700 million shares of common stock with an exercise price of $7.14 a share, the market price at the time. Fast-forward to today, and the warrants alone have earned Berkshire more than $5.1 billion in paper profits.
